The township of Jabiru in Kakadu National Park looks to have been a big winner in the lead up to this year's Federal Election.

The Morrison Government and the Opposition have both announced funding packages to revitalise the town and the national park.

It's hoped the money will transform Jabiru from a near-empty mining service town into a thriving tourism hub.

The announcements have been welcomed by traditional owners.
